Michele's passion and experience with choral music spans over 20 years, having performing in major venues all over the world as a chorister, soloist, and conductor. As a Subject Expert in Voice, Michele's Bachelors of Music specializes in Vocal Performance, providing her with a hyper focus on repertoire selection, diction, pronunciation, breath support, posture, aural skills, stage combat, choralography, conducting, phonetics, and public speaking.
Primary General Music Teacher
Michele is trained and certified to teach primary general music, and enjoys introducing students to the world of music for the first time through song, musical games, new instruments, movement, and so much more. Putting on mid year and end of year productions whether alone, or in coordination with the arts and drama departments is also a specialty of Michele's, and always finds primary to be the perfect place to start with cross curricular education. If we're learning about the natural world in science class, we are going to learn that vocabulary through song too!
Musical Summer School Teacher
Michele has a special "LEARN HOW TO SING!" summer school course provided where students of all ages can come to learn how to sing in an encouraging, fun and supportive environment with engaging singing lessons that your student will enjoy! This course is designed for students of all experience levels, from current school choral music students, professional singing students, and even beginners who simply want to learn how to sing! Whether the goal is to improve a song for a recital, bring joy to your family through song, or just to be better at K-TV or Karaoke with your friends, this course is for you!
Online Learning Expert -
MS & HS Ensemble Music
While trained in music technology, never before had music teachers been required to switch to 100% online learning seemingly overnight. In China this practice continues well into its fourth consecutive school year, with teachers constantly prepared to have their curriculum go 100% online on an almost daily or weekly basis; indefinitely. It is through these unforeseen challenges that Michele was able to develop 100% online performance based curriculum specific to ensembles, and documented her findings in her Masters Thesis about never before seen challenges in the music education field. Afterwards, students were even seen to be more accomplished in their parts that in the classroom, and interesting development indeed!
Voice Master Classes
Michele provides voice master classes comprised of group and individual lessons covering how the human voice works, how to identify your voice type, and the proper approach to vocal warmups, breath support, pitch accuracy, resonance, hitting the high notes, hitting the low notes, head voice, chest voice, moving through the passaggio, falsetto, voice changes, stage presence, overcoming stage fright, and so much more! Anything and everything you ever wanted to know about singing will be covered, to be used for years to come!
Online Learning Expert -Primary General Music
Moving into the 100% online learning space for primary school students requires a range of knowledge in both digital classroom management, music software, digital education platforms specific to music, and gamification to name a few. It was through the constant and unending 100% online learning requirements of China that Michele was able to design a fun and interactive digital curriculum that was able to continue to have high student participation as well as solid mastery of skills so that students didn't fall too far behind in this new visual space.

Passionate School Participant
Middle School Soccer Coach
Michele co-coached the middle school girls soccer team to their win in the all BASIS tournament. This means that our girls beat out the other 5 schools in our network, and with most of them being in the 6th grade it was their first time working as a team together. Only more success to come!
Academic Support Advisor
Michele has been chosen year after year to assist academically struggling students throughout each school year with organization skills, personal accountability, pastoral care, and attendance of both classes and student hours. Michele has also been selected to speak at meetings about her techniques used due to her high success rate with students in this arena.
Provide PD Sessions on Public Speaking
Michele has been selected multiple times to providing in school PD sessions on Public Speaking for fellow teachers and administrators. Michele enjoys teaching all her tips and tricks to better public speaking for both teachers to better utilize in the classroom, as well as the teachers to then pass along to their strudnets when they are giving on class presentations.
Sex Education Teacher
Michele worked with other teachers to create a comprehensive middle and high school sex education curriculum for all students to participate in. Whether students need to be prepared for the experiences of puberty, taught the concepts of healthy relationships, or explaining the cultural and legal differences between countries to international students about to embark to the United States and their new university life, Michele is very comfortable and sensitive when discussing these facts of life with a student body.
